About the role
Barwon Health, in partnership with RMIT University, is offering a paid Embedded Student Program in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. This unique opportunity allows you to earn while you learn over the 3.5 year Degree. You will undertake the clinical placements at Barwon Health for 2 days per week and are expected to undertake your University Degree in online zoom classes the other 3 days.
You will work alongside experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists, developing specialised skills in diagnostic and therapeutic studies whilst delivering high quality patent centred care within a supportive environment.
Applicants must reside in the Geelong region to be eligible.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervised training in Radiopharmacy to meet the requirements for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
What we’re looking for
* Completion of Year 12: Must have Maths and one other Science based subject (Physics, Biology, Chemistry)
* For non-school leavers - existing qualifications or degrees in Health, Science, Medical Imaging, or related fields are desirable.
* Reside in the Geelong region (Barwon South West residents/school leavers may be considered if moving to Geelong)
