Procurement Specialist Role
This global shipping and freight organisation is seeking an experienced procurement professional for a newly created role.
Working within an existing team, and alongside seasoned project managers, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing high value freight-forwarding programmes - you will oversee all procurement/sourcing, tendering & bid evaluation for all stages of the project lifecycle.
2. Collaborating with international suppliers to source high value, specialised materials & services.
3. Contract formation and administration of contracts with varying contract value and complexity.
4. Liaising with stakeholders to ensure procurement operates with a high level of probity while delivering procurement & project outcomes to tight timeframes.
5. Establishing new strategic supplier relationships, and analysing existing agreements for improvements.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. Proven ability to successfully manage all stages of the procurement and contracting lifecycle on a project basis.
2. A senior level of experience in strategic procurement and sourcing in project-based industries such as shipping, freight-forwarding, transport, and logistics.
3. Broad supply chain management experience, and proven ability to source technical and hard-to-find materials and services.
4. Ability to travel internationally.
