**The Role**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled **Payroll Officer **to join our Belmont Office and support a team of 4 with end-to-end payroll processing.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer's responsibilities will include:
- Processing end-to-end weekly & fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time
- Interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll, and configure payroll system rules correctly
- Assist in the resolution of complex payroll queries and issues
- Manage the provision of timely, relevant and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders including statutory and regulatory bodies
- Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of PAYG, superannuation, portable long service leave, and other general payroll maintenance tasks
**About You**
- 2-3 years prior experience in end-to-end payroll processing with high volume, blue and white-collar employees (essential)
- Strong understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation related to payroll processing activities.
- Previous experience with interpreting and understanding industrial instruments including Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Common Law arrangements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and a strong team contributor
- Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
