This Role is part time with an opportunity to move to full time.
Full training provided where needed — we don't expect you to know everything on day one.
What You'll Be Doing
This role includes a mix of workshop, local field work, and occasional regional travel. You'll work across:
Solar & Battery Installations (key component of the role)
Residential & commercial solar PV installations
Battery storage systems (AC/DC coupled, hybrid, off-grid)
System commissioning and compliance documentation
Working with modern energy tech and complex installs
General Electrical Work
Installation, maintenance & repair of electrical systems
Fault finding on AC and DC circuits
Switchboard upgrades and commercial/industrial electrical tasks
Specialist Energy & Communications Systems
Backup power, UPS and energy storage
Field telemetry, SCADA support and low-voltage control wiring
Radio, RF, antenna and remote communications systems
What We're Looking For
QLD Electrical Licence
Strong skills in installation, maintenance & troubleshooting
CEC Accreditation (Solar/Battery) or willingness to obtain it
Solid understanding of safety and compliance
Ability to work independently and in a small, capable team
Interest in varied electrical, solar, and communications work
Comfortable with occasional regional travel (not FIFO, and not excessive)
We're after someone who enjoys variety — one day solar, next day telemetry, next day general electrical.
