We are seeking applications for Registered Nurses and Midwives to join our Midwifery & Surgical Ward on a permanent or casual basis.
Our Ward comprises 21 beds across a mix of Maternity and Gynaecological cases. We experience approximately 500 births a year, and we are equipped with three birth suites and a Special Care Nursery that cares for premature and unwell infants up to 32 weeks gestation.
We are looking for Midwives/Registered Nurses who can work across shifts from Monday to Sunday, with part-time options available.
The Position
1. The midwife is responsible for providing the necessary care to meet the identified needs of patients on the ante and postnatal ward and general ward allocated to their care.
2. Interview and examine the patient, document assessment findings.
3. Promote an environment of confidence, confidentiality, and respect; identify potential problems through discussion with the patient, family, and relevant others.
4. Assess and document the anticipated needs of the pregnant woman and family during and following hospitalisation.
5. Perform planned nursing care, set priorities, and reestablish priorities in changing circumstances.
6. Review the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations routinely.
7. Evaluate and document the outcomes of nursing and medical interventions and report significant findings promptly.
You will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of acts and legislation impacting nursing practice.
To succeed, you will demonstrate a minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in a Maternity and/or NICU specialty.

* Salary: $79,535 to $100,984 per annum plus 12% superannuation
* Casual hourly rate: $50.15 to $63.68 (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
