Operational Efficiency Manager
Job Description:
* Optimize business systems and processes to drive outcome-focused performance.
* Ensure seamless interface between packing facility, farms, transport, shared services, and other packing sheds.
* Implement effective washing and packing of produce, identifying risks and mitigating actions as needed.
* Maximize pack out values through optimizing sizing and grading in response to market economics.
* Coordinate the delivery of harvested produce to relevant packing shed, providing timely load reports and quality assessments to growers and harvesters.
* Manage labor costs, ensuring employees work effectively and efficiently.
* Oversee and manage packing shed operations, including daily staff and team management.
* Monitor equipment condition, report findings to maintenance team, and perform basic routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma level qualification plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in product quality and exposure to fast-paced production environments.
* Background in food packaging or processing environments.
* Desirable: Experience in potato, carrot, and onion products.
* Ability to operate machines and resolve minor mechanical problems.
* Leadership skills and ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team.
* Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels.
* Proven record in similar position, providing evidence of results.
