The role & you
MidCoast Council is currently seeking a full-time team member to support maintenance and operational activities in our parks, reserves and cemeteries. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role include:
* Perform safe and efficient cemetery operations such as manual excavation and backfilling of graves, ash interments, and memorial plaque installations.
* Operate a range of vehicle and plant items relevant to cemeteries and open space maintenance activities.
* Assisting with grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks in cemeteries and open spaces.
In order to fulfill the requirements of this role you will need to hold a WHS general induction for construction NSW (White Card) and an MR licence or higher.
The successful candidate will require a pre-employment medical check to ensure they can complete the essential requirements of the role (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component).
Salary: Commencing salary $53,985 plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located at Grey Gum Road, Tuncurry. You will be required to work from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure:
* Permanent, Full Time 38 hours per week
* 6:30am to 3:30pm
* Fortnightly rostered day off
