**Position Summary**
- Deliver and develop best practice Physiotherapy services as part of the dynamic and busy Acute Hospital Team working across the 7 day week.
- Supervise, teach, support and develop rotating Grade1 staff and undergraduate students.
- 48 hours per fortnight including one Sunday per fortnight.
**About the facility**
The Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas across the Hospital. Physiotherapy is predominantly inpatient focused with some outpatient services provided in orthopaedics, paediatrics and Women's health. Our dynamic team provides inpatient physiotherapy to all wards of University Hospital Geelong. Specialties include surgical, medical, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, Emergency Department and Intensive Care.
**About the role**
Barwon Health's Physiotherapy department is looking for an organised, dynamic and flexible team player with clinical knowledge, skills and experience in assessing and managing general Surgical and ICU patients. You will be required to work 6 days per fortnight across set days (Monday, Tuesday and Fridays) but including one Sunday per fortnight worked as a day in Lieu. You will provide an evidence based, patient centred Physiotherapy service within a multi-disciplinary setting. You will work with a flexible approach and a focus on access and flow.
You will have a role in supervising rotating Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and undergraduate students who will all require your leadership, teaching and supervisory expertise when they work in your areas, including on the weekends. Your professional supervision and development will be valued and you will be supported to achieve your goals.
