Job Title: Domestic Violence Caseworker
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Caseworker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide case management and crisis assistance to women experiencing domestic and family violence.
This role involves conducting initial intakes and assessments, providing crisis intervention where appropriate, and working closely with clients to develop case plans that include ongoing support, review, and follow up.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing crisis intervention and case work for women with/without children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness. They will also possess sound knowledge of child protection issues and the crisis, social, community, and private rental housing market in NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting initial intakes and assessments
* Providing crisis intervention where appropriate
* Working closely with clients to develop case plans
* Referring clients to external services as required
* Supporting and assisting clients in promoting independence and empowerment
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and case notes
Requirements:
* Experience in managing crisis intervention and case work for women with/without children experiencing domestic and family violence and/or homelessness
* Sound knowledge of child protection issues and the crisis, social, community, and private rental housing market in NSW
* National Police Check
