About the role
We are seeking a Lead Solar & Battery Electrician to design, install and commission solar PV and battery systems, and perform general electrical work.
Your duties will involve but not be limited to:
* Install and commission grid-connected solar and battery systems in line with relevant Australian Standards and SAA guidelines
* Lead and supervise apprentices, trade assistants and labourers on site
* Installing communications cable connections to enable to correct operation of export limits, Generation Signaling Devices, power relays and other ancillary components at the inverter(s).
* Completing Safety checks and testing in accordance with Electrical Safety Regulations 2013
* Ensuring that all stickers and labels pertaining to all aspects of the installation have been completed and affixed in accordance with AS4777 and AS5033.
* Complete safety checks, testing, labelling and customer handovers
* Carry out general commercial and residential electrical work (fault finding, installs, maintenance and repairs)
About You
Along with a strong work ethic, previous experience in a similar role and the neccesary credentials you'll have/be:
* Available to start as soon as possible
* Hold full work rights in Australia
* Be an experienced licensed electrician with minimum 2 years' experience in Queensland, or eligible via reciprocal recognition
* Be willing and able to act as the Authorised Person and Qualified Technical Person
* Hold Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems (GCPV) Design and Installation Accreditation
* SAA Grid Connected Battery Systems (GCBS) Accreditation, although this can be obtained prior to commencement, if not already held
