Library Services Centre
The Library Services Centre provides innovative, customer-focused services that support the University's learning, teaching and research goals. This includes helping students and staff develop digital and information skills, supporting the use of learning technologies, building research skills and providing access to information resources and scholarly and cultural collections. The Library also undertakes the management of the University's tier-one library systems and databases, as well as data analytics to inform service planning and collection development. In addition, it provides a wide range of online resources and services to staff and students across all campuses and study locations. The Library also leads the management of the University's business records and archives. This includes the maintenance of information management systems and the use of data analytics to improve processes. Together, these efforts ensure that key information is captured, organised and preserved, supporting compliance, informed decision-making and the ongoing accessibility of the University's records.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional to help shape how the Library communicates its services, priorities and achievements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high impact initiatives and enhance the visibility and understanding of Library services across diverse audiences. This role is based primarily at the Joondalup campus.
The Role
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Library Services Centre's internal and external webpages, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned with Library priorities. It also supports the development and implementation of communication strategies, translating high level concepts into clear, practical and audience-focused plans that enhance the visibility and understanding of Library services.

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, along with recent experience in communication planning, project support, customer service, website and data management within a large organisation.
The ability to organise and present information, views and concepts in a concise, understandable and interesting format for a variety of audiences, from the University's internal and external communities. Involves determining the most appropriate format and vehicle for delivering information to ensure the audiences understanding of the message and its intent.
Ability to influence the decisions, actions or perceptions of others and to be straight forward and honest when doing so. To create networks which foster a complementary mix of knowledge, skills and abilities, in order to achieve goals and to add mutual benefit and value to the University.
Ability to investigate, identify and analyse problems, and their source causes and related issues. To generate alternatives, benefits and costs to develop practical solutions. Being creative and innovative when developing solutions and the ability to identify risks. Understanding when a decision needs to be escalated and proactive in reducing escalation events.
Experience in a contemporary academic library environment will be an advantage.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
