About the opportunity
As the Strengthening Parent Support Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in connecting families who have children with disabilities or developmental delays. You will establish and facilitate peer support groups, provide guidance and referrals, and coordinate community education sessions to empower parents with knowledge and resources.
Key responsibilities include:
* Establish and support peer-led parent groups.
* Provide individual support, advice, and referrals.
* Organise educational workshops and information sessions.
* Build relationships with local disability services and community networks.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
* Commitment to social justice and inclusive practices
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills (liaising, consulting, collaborating) with the ability to facilitate groups
* Knowledge ofdisability and family support systems, peer support, group processes, Victorian child safe standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
* Diploma in Community Services (or related qualification)
