Job Description
The opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Kingaroy Kill Floor Production Manager, this role is responsible for providing Maintenance technical expertise and support for the co-ordination, planning, and completion of Maintenance activities within the designated area of responsibility. Ensuring all maintenance is conducted safely and accurately with productions urgencies, priorities, and equipment availability the focus of attention and ensuring maintenance compliance and schedule is adhered to and monitored daily.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Directly liaising and reporting with production to support daily production targets.
* Directly liaising and reporting with production to ensure equipment availability.
* Directly reporting and liaising with Maintenance Manager to support maintenance targets.
* Ensure all maintenance is conducted to minimise production downtime.
* Being the 1st point of call as a maintenance representative.
* Manage the trades assigned to the floor during production as and when needed.
* Notify production and maintenance Managers immediately of any of critical issues identified.
* Collaboration with production supervisors on all maintenance issues raised.
* Conduct corrective maintenance as required, attend and co-ordinate all breakdowns.
* Co-ordinate maintenance trades and contractors, ensuring all details of the scope of work is understood and all work is conducted as per companies' policies and expectation.
* Responsible for leading a preventative maintenance culture by conducting regular audits and inspections to identify premature failures and creating corrective actions.
* Attending morning production and planning/scheduling meetings
* Assist Planning team to schedule maintenance work & repairs.
* Assist Planning team to identify parts to increase accuracy and efficiencies.
* Assist in reviewing preventative and planned work schedules and execution of job outcomes.
* Managing rotable equipment serviceability and ensuring equipment availability daily.
* Ensure necessary engineering or technical documents, specification, and manuals to assist trades.
* Ensure accuracy and completion of all scheduled Start Up/Pack Up's are conducted daily.
* Ensure all Planned, Statutory, Legislative, Compliance, OEM Maintenance activities, and relevant paperwork are completed daily and handed to planning team daily.
* Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animals.
* Carry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company.
* Create and promote a cohesive and positive culture between maintenance and production.
Desired Skills and Experience
What we're looking for
Swicker's has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team. As a key member you will have:
* Minimum Cert 3 Engineering Trade essential
* Strong and proven background in Maintenance Role > 5yrs
* Exposure/Training in robotic processing equipment.
* Exposure/Training in automated conveyor systems
* Intermediate computer skills including Excel, Email, Word
* Strong communication skill
* Demonstrated Leadership experience but not essential.
