Dr Craig Smith is an experienced Hand and Wrist Surgeon/Plastic Surgeon.
He requires a part time (3 days per week) Medical Receptionist/Secretary for his West Perth practice.
The West Perth office also employs a full time secretary and a part time book keeper. The West Perth office building area also includes Specialized Hand Therapy Services who have a receptionist, secretary and Hand Therapists.
The successful applicant will need to possess the following attributes
Previous Medical Receptionist/Secretary experience in a medical practice
Very good computer skills and experience with appropriate computer software
An excellent phone manner and communication skills
Accuracy, attention to detail, organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
The ability to be available for leave relief when other staff are on leave
Duties will include
Answering phone calls professionally and appropriately,making appointments and dealing with patient enquiries
Helping to prepare and run surgical clinics
Issuing patient invoices and receipts, patient quotes, attending to account enquiries, billing Medicare, DVA and health funds and attending to bad debts.
Banking with preparation, documentation and reconciliation
Arranging and checking of theatre lists
Medical typing
Entering and maintaining patient details in the patient database
Management of incoming and outgoing mail and e mails
General office administration and assistance to the surgeon
