About the role
The General Manager is accountable for effective operations of the laboratories and business functions of SydPath as well as ensuring the delivery of high performing and high-quality service centered on a client focused approach supporting efficient and effective pathology services.
The position will be accountable for supporting new pathology services through business case development and implementation of the strategic plans.

Selection Criteria
* Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA), MBA, or equivalent postgraduate management qualification
* Senior leadership and management experience with proven change management and leadership expertise, preferably with experience in a pathology service or large health organisation.
* Able to inspire a sense of purpose and direction towards achieving a strategic vision, to focus strategically on matters of critical importance, to harness relevant information and act on opportunities
* Proven experience in strategic business and financial acumen including extensive budget management experience.
* Ability to apply superior planning skills to coordinate and implement strategic, business, research and major projects.
* Demonstrated high level knowledge of the impact of changing models of care, service delivery practice and evidence in the development of services.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a track record in negotiating, influencing, advocacy and problem solving experience to provide effective solutions and develop long lasting relationships and networks built on trust with internal and external stakeholders.
