Senior Communications Advisor - Transport Infrastructure Project Location: Maroochydore QLD 4558 Rate: $78-$83 per hour (based on experience) Full-time, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week) About the Role Our Client Queensland Government is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor to lead communications and community engagement for a major transport infrastructure project. This role is key to shaping public messaging, strengthening community relationships, and ensuring the project's reputation is well-managed through strategic and effective communication. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic communication plans Lead stakeholder engagement and public consultation Create content for media releases, social media, newsletters, and updates Coordinate messaging with internal and external stakeholders Manage crisis communication and issues resolution Monitor media and community sentiment Provide expert advice to leadership and mentor junior staff Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience in communications/community engagement (infrastructure or government) International Association of Public Participation Certification (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance dated within the last 12 months Strong writing, media, and stakeholder management skills Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing (desirable) Class C Driver's Licence (desirable) Familiarity with Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia framework (a plus) Apply now with your updated resume.
