Location: Kamberri/Canberra, ACT Start Date: April 2026 Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Monday–Wednesday, 0.6 FTE) Salary: $71,565 ($36.70/hour) pro rata per annum, plus superannuation

The Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and digitally savvy individual to join our team as Membership and Administration Coordinator.

AMaGA is Australia’s national membership association and peak advocacy body for museums and galleries. Our diverse community spans everything from iconic state and national institutions to vibrant regional galleries, historic sites and First Nations cultural centres.

As the Membership and Administration Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our members and stakeholders receive exceptional support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will range from coordinating membership functions and managing administrative duties to supporting events and liaising with our passionate community.
You’ll be the go-to person for our members, a role that requires clear communication, impeccable organisation, and a collaborative spirit. Whether you’re preparing for National Council meetings, managing member enquiries, or ensuring our resources are up to date, your work will be integral to AMaGA’s success.

Key Responsibilities
• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and stakeholders.
• Coordinate membership communications, renewals, and enquiries.
• Manage key administrative tasks such as database updates, office supplies, and mail handling.
• Support event logistics, including registrations and seminar materials.
• Prepare agendas, take minutes, and organise logistics for National Council and committee
meetings.
• Assist with website updates, CRM systems, and promotional activities.
• Provide membership statistics and reports for National Council and funding bodies.
• Work on special projects and initiatives as opportunities arise.
