The Opportunity
Are you a detail-driven Payroll Officer with a passion for process improvement and service excellence? We're currently seeking a savvy, motivated individual to join our Finance team at our Tomago office on a full-time basis.
This is your opportunity to be part of a close-knit, supportive team where your contributions make a real difference. In this role, a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and time management is essential as is a friendly, approachable demeanour.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee wages and related company payments
- Maintaining and updating employee records, including salary adjustments and leave balances
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations
- Providing exceptional customer service to staff and management regarding payroll matters
- Responding to payroll-related enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with process improvements, automation and simplification initiatives
- Performing general payroll administration and data entry tasks
What We're Looking For
- Previous payroll processing experience (essential)
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures and related documentation
- Experience using payroll systems
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Forward-thinking mindset with a focus on solutions and process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment
