About the role: You will play a key role in upholding quality and compliance across the business, helping to ensure we consistently produce safe, high-quality food. The role involves identifying potential risk areas and taking proactive steps to maintain the highest standards of food safety and suitability for consumption. You’ll thrive in a small, diverse team environment where collaboration is valued. Key Responsibilities but not limited too: Looks after quality assurance in receivable (suppliers’ engagements), Batching section, Prep section, Production Kitchen and Wash section. Ensures quality assurance in blast chillers (Cooling), WIP & Packing (High risk areas), Logistics & despatch and customer complaints engagements. Have QA officers reporting into both for non compliances raised as per the areas designated. Conduct Internal Audits to include: SQF, GMP and HACCP Checklist, all prerequisite and supporting programs. Oversee CAR register including liaising with supervisors on completion of CAR where required, perform verification to ensure close out. Skills & Experience: Degree qualification in food science or related discipline. Experience in a similar role within the food industry for at least 3 years, experience in the food manufacturing industry would be highly desirable. Qualification & proven experience of HACCP, SQF and retails standards such as but not limited to Coles/WQA/ Aldi. An understanding of key industry food standards (including packaging). Hold either internal or external food safety auditing qualification. Competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills
