About the role:
We are hiring for 6 cooks (Sunday - Thursday) - 1x Afternoon Shift & 5x Night Shift.
Afternoon Shift starts at 2:15pm - 10:15pm
Night Shift starts at 10:15pm to 6:15am
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
* Prepare and cook food according to standardised recipes and kitchen guidelines.
* Ensure consistency in taste, portioning is maintained for every cook.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
* Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage, labelling, and temperature control.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation standards.\
Kitchen Operations:
* Properly store and rotate ingredients using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
* Work efficiently to meet service deadlines and kitchen schedules.
Equipment & Maintenance:
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
* Ensure all tools and workspaces are properly cleaned and maintained.
Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or needs.
Compliance & Regulations:
* Adhere to health and safety policies, including workplace safety protocols.
* Follow company guidelines and industry best practices in food handling.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 6 months experience in any cooking industry.
* Basic Food Handling certificate
* Strong Communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
