About us:
The Orthopaedic unit provides elective and trauma services for the patients within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Cape and Torres Hospital and Health Service as well as Papua New Guinea (PNG) nationals presenting to Torres health centres.
About you:
In your new role you will……
* Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Nursing Director/Director of Nursing, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.
* Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate health services to achieve organisational goals.
* Use information systems and incorporate data to identify trends and facilitate patient flow across the service.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
* Provide leadership in problem solving and setting standards for a defined practice area.
* Lead the implementation of programs through effective use of teams, establishing clear plans, timelines, and specific activities.
* Effectively manage self and in collaboration with Nurse Educators and other Nurse Unit Managers/Clinical Nurse Consultants and develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities.
