Our head office is located in South Hedland, Western Australia, approximately 350 kilometres north of the Mining Area C Project, with additional offices in Perth, Tom Price, and Karratha. This enables us to stay connected, accessible, and responsive to the IBN membership.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Project Officer will lead projects and portfolios including event coordination, project management, property, travel, and fleet coordination, procurement, and contract management.
This role requires strong team and customer service orientation, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Providing administrative support for projects, initiatives, services, or systems to deliver on IBN strategy and outcomes.
* Organising meetings, forums, and events including invitations, venue booking, equipment, catering, room setup, and meeting correspondence.
* Providing customer service to members and stakeholders.
* Coordinating purchases and procurement including consumables and merchandise.
* Supporting the preparation of reports, minutes, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholder groups.
* Maintaining corporate records and coordinating mail services.
* Supporting travel and accommodation bookings and fleet coordination.
* Reviewing tasks and administrative procedures to identify and implement improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* Able to work with Aboriginal people and demonstrate an understanding of Aboriginal Australian culture.
* Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
* Proven time management and organisational skills with experience handling a diverse workload under tight deadlines.
* Well-developed experience in undertaking administrative tasks including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
* Ability to research and conceptualise solutions to problems.
* Ability to work positively and effectively in a team environment to achieve outcomes.
* Adaptability and openness to learning new skills and methodologies.
