At Star Flight Australia, we're committed to delivering world-class aeromedical, search and rescue, and aerial law enforcement services across Tasmania.
The role involves training and checking flight and medical crews, as well as administrative duties and line shifts on the roster.
As a Training Officer, you'll be responsible for:
* Assisting pilots with aeromedical, search and rescue, emergency, and counter-disaster operations;
* Ensuring captains are promptly advised on safety, serviceability, or effectiveness matters;
* Carrying out duties and training in accordance with the Operations Manual;
* Ensuring accurate completion of flight and task documentation, and briefing/debriefing crews on deficiencies;
* Conducting training duties for flight and medical crew; and
* Overseeing serviceability and compliance of operational equipment.
You'll work closely with our Chief Pilot and ACO to plan sortie profiles, manage logistics, and ensure currency and recency requirements for flight and medical crew are maintained.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Background in HEMS commercial or military environments;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Keen interest in teamwork.
