Principal Operational Technology (OT) Manager The Role We are seeking a Principal Operational Technology (OT) Manager to serve as a strategic and transformational leader for a large organization's critical infrastructure. This is a pivotal position focused on modernizing and managing the OT environment, bridging the gap between legacy systems and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with exceptional technical expertise and the ability to influence executive decision-making. You will be responsible for embedding a "cybersecurity-by-design" approach, driving cultural and digital change, and positioning OT as a key enabler of enterprise innovation, resilience, and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead large-scale transformations of legacy OT environments into modern, digitally integrated ecosystems. Develop and implement strategic OT plans that integrate with smart infrastructure, digital twins, AI / ML, and cloud platforms. Champion a security-first, resilient OT architecture and ensure alignment with the organization's overall risk posture. Influence and engage executive leadership to shape enterprise priorities and secure cross-functional alignment across IT, operations, and engineering. Act as a force for innovation and continuous improvement, driving cultural shifts in traditionally risk-averse environments. Develop, mentor, and motivate diverse, cross-disciplinary teams, introducing agile ways of working and new operating models. About You The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in transforming complex OT environments. You will possess : A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. A minimum of six years of experience leading OT within a large enterprise. Professional certifications related to OT, cybersecurity, or architecture (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP) are required. Demonstrated experience in influencing CEOs, Boards, and other executive leaders, with a proven ability to shape organizational strategy. Mastery of complex industrial systems (SCADA, DCS, IIoT) and their application in large-scale, high-risk operations. A track record of delivering complex OT programs on time and within budget.
