About the role
We are looking for an initiative-taking and experienced Geology Database Administrator to join the Iluka team.
The position can be based in either our Perth or Adelaide offices. Reporting directly to the Principal GIS Geologist, the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Contribute to Resource development through the maintenance of Iluka's geological acQuire database- Maintain the established standards and procedures for data capture, storage of geological information- Provide support for geological information data entry, validation, and quality control within central acQuire database- Consult with internal and external laboratories to ensure accurate QA/QC and data capture- Strive for continuous improvement of database useability by though AI, integration, and automation
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Degree qualification in Data Science, Geology, GIS, or Information Technology- Demonstrated experience using acQuire database software- Previous experience in a database role within the mining & resources industry- Ability to use SQL- Familiarity or prior experience with GIS, Python, QGIS, Micromine, or Datamine will be highly valued
