**About the Job**

We are currently seeking for an experienced Architectural Building and Surveying Technician

to work in our Milsons Point office on a permanent full-time contract.

Reporting to the Head of Desing, the Architectural Building and Surveying Technician is responsible for assisting with the management of the design and documentation process from work winning through project delivery to completion, ensuring that the design is efficiently coordinated to meet the project program, milestones, and compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements.

**The Architectural Building and Surveying Technician's** **duties include but are not limited to**:

- Deliver design documentation on time, ensuring compliance with project briefs, budgets, and building codes.
- Review designs for cost efficiency, constructability, and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Draft, edit, and update architectural plans, maps, technical drawings, and construction details using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and Revit.
- Revise drawings promptly based on client or regulatory feedback while maintaining clear communication.
- Manage design documentation, keeping records accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
- Monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordinate between consultants and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections and address post-completion technical issues, including defects.
- Assist in preparing and auditing documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Support the Head of Design with internal workshops, design reviews, and maintaining the design department folder.
- Participate in project delivery, scheduling work programs, and meeting project timelines.
- Ensure the delivery of Safety in Design initiatives and compliance with sustainability standards.

**Business Development**:

- Assist with marketing initiatives and identifying new project opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and consultants.
- Contribute to value management by proposing design alternatives and cost-saving strategies.

**Quality and Compliance**:

- Conduct quality audits on construction projects and materials to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Assist with compiling final documentation, including as-constructed drawings and compliance records.
- Monitor and ensure design deliverables meet company and regulatory standards.

**The ideal applicant will possess**:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualifications in Surveying, Architecture, or Engineering.
- At least two years' experience (local or international) as an Architectural Building and Surveying Technician or equivalent role.
- Hold a valid driver's licence and ability to travel to other offices and sites as required.
- Proficiency in drafting and using design software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit)
- Ensure compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Policies and Procedures.

**Position details and benefits**:

- This is a full-time permanent position.
- The salary range for this role is between AUD75,000 - AUD85,000 (excluding superannuation).

**How to apply**:
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
