This residential role offers the chance to make a real impact while enjoying the lifestyle of living locally.About The RoleReporting to the Port Operations Supervisor, you'll take ownership of the safe and efficient operation of the fixed plant while supporting production outcomes across the supply chain.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll contribute to continuous improvement, coach and support your crew, and ensure operational excellence in line with Fortescue's values.Key ResponsibilitiesLead by example, promoting a strong safety-first culture across Port OperationsCollaborate with other departments to resolve issues that impact productivityIdentify and report hazards, and drive corrective actions to reduce risksMonitor and adjust processes to ensure product meets specification and output is maximisedGenerate and implement ideas for continuous improvementConduct operational tasks safely and effectively in line with Standard Work Instructions and JHAsDevelop deep knowledge of plant equipment and processes, resolving minor defects where possiblePrioritise tasks to optimise production time and efficiencyLead, train, and support a diverse team to deliver high performance outcomesQualifications And ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in fixed plant or port terminal operationsBackground in mining, mineral processing, or bulk material handling (shiploading experience desirable)Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and train a diverse workforceCompetent in SAP and computer-based maintenance/operating systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCurrent WA C Class Driver's LicenceHigh-risk work licences (LF, DG, SB, RB, EWP) highly regardedWhy Fortescue?
