As we grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Butcher to join our team and help deliver exceptional cuts and service to our valued customers.
About the Role
As a Butcher, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the preparation, presentation, and sale of meat products, including:
• Cutting, trimming, deboning, mincing, and portioning various meat products to meet retail and customer requirements
• Preparing value-added products such as marinated, crumbed, seasoned, and cured meat items
• Producing smallgoods through the careful selection, preparation, and processing of meat
• Operating and maintaining meat-processing equipment, including grinders, mixers, mincers, tenderisers, and sausage-making machinery
• Preparing blends, marinades, and curing mixtures using spices, salts, and other ingredients
• Ensuring meat products are prepared and handled in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
• Assisting customers by providing advice on suitable cuts, preparation methods, and cooking techniques
• Supporting stock control, product rotation, and display to maintain freshness and presentation
• Assisting with production planning, scheduling, and estimating quantities required to meet customer demand
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have relevant experience in a quality retail butchery environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The ability to work well under pressure
• And a demonstrated interest in premium foods and their provenance
• Attention to detail
• Any relevant certifications (e.g., food safety) are a plus but not required
Remuneration:
Remuneration is subject to your skills, qualifications and experience, but it would be within a salary range of between $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + superannuation.
