Overview
This full-time Project Supervisor/Carpenter role with Orixon Pty Ltd in Osborne Park, Western Australia offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take on a supervisory position overseeing key construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of carpenters and other tradespeople, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality construction projects.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of carpenters and other trades to deliver construction projects on time and within budget
* Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to the team
* Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
* Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and project coordination
* Participate in the planning and scheduling of project activities
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices
What we're looking for
* Significant experience (8+ years) as a carpenter or construction supervisor in the commercial or residential construction industry
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulations
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and liaise with clients and stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, and coordinate construction projects to meet deadlines and budgets
* Commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a safe working environment
* Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
