Description
In this role, you'll operate Skidsteer equipment to deliver both programmed and reactive works across the community. From constructing and maintaining roads, footpaths, and carparks to supporting stormwater drainage projects, you'll help keep our city moving and looking its best.
Reporting to the Team Leader, and Leading Worker Civil Maintenance, the Field Officer Civil Maintenance (Skidsteer) is responsible for providing operational support across the Field Services Department in the delivery of civil construction and maintenance work associated with Council's transport network and stormwater infrastructure to the required Maintenance Service Levels (MSL).
Position Description - Field Officer Civil Maintenance (Skidsteer)
Key responsibilities of this role are:
* Work with the Civil Maintenance Team to construct and maintain infrastructure such as roads, footpaths, carparks, and stormwater drainage using Skidsteer equipment, including Mill head, ensuring all projects meet Council standards and specifications.
* Safely and conscientiously operate plant and equipment specifically the skidsteer with the Profiling mill head as required to support the Civil Maintenance Teams deliver programmed and reactive work.
* Undertake a Worksite Risk Identification & Assessment for each site and ensure all effective controls are in place for identified risks according to the standards set out in the WHS procedures.
* Set up temporary traffic management according to the TMI1 and TC1 standards required and report any identified risks or potential risks associated with Council works or worksites.
* Demonstrate our values and behaviours when interacting with others and in delivering the outcomes of this role.
You will be rostered on a 9-day fortnight schedule, optimising your work time while offering flexibility.
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
* Skidsteer Loader Certification (LS).
* Temporary Traffic Management / Work Zone Traffic Management
* HR Licence or willing to obtain
* Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White card)
* Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check
* Additional tickets will be looked upon favourably

Salary range is between $76,590 to $77,848 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
