Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Registered Nurses specialising in Anaesthetics and Recovery to join a supportive team at a private hospital in Newcastle. There is an availability of full-time, part-time and casual positions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the hospital.
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
* Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
* Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
* Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetic care unit;
* Experience in General Anaesthesia, procedural sedation and 1st stage recovery;
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong customer service focus;
* The ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of patients;
* Exceptional customer service and time management abilities;
* Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others;
* Ability to work a rotating roster.
RENUMERATION
On offer is an hourly base salary of $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
