About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Business Services Accountant to join our team. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work alongside and support senior accountants while mentoring a small team of juniors. Our managers and partners have an open-door policy, providing guidance as you carry out tasks such as:
* Service a range of diverse client portfolios and build client rapport
* Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSF
* Exposure to tax planning work
* Exposure to various tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7a
* Business Advisory work such as cashflow forecasting
* Hands-on work with large Corporates, SMEs, and Large Family Groups
* Continual advisory for clients & external agencies independently or alongside a partner
You will be responsible for building rapport with clients, preparing financial statements, and working on tax planning and business advisory tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist senior accountants in service delivery
* Mentor junior team members
* Build client relationships and provide excellent communication skills
* Prepare financial statements and income tax returns
* Work on tax planning and business advisory tasks
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You should have excellent communication skills and be studying towards CA/CPA qualification. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of public practice experience and hold Australian/NZ permanent residency.
