We are seeking a senior commercial leader to drive sales and commercial outcomes for our subsea engineering and intervention tooling business across the Asia-Pacific region.
This role requires deep subsea industry experience, an established regional sales network, and proven capability influencing and securing complex engineering contracts with operators and major contractors.
You will be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities, building client relationships, and converting commercial interest into contract awards.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the APAC sales and commercial strategy aligned with company objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with offshore energy operators, Tier 1 EPC/EPCI contractors, and specialist subsea service providers.
Identify and shape opportunities during concept, FEED, and early execution phases to position Blakemere for downstream contract awards.
Lead or support tender responses for complex subsea engineering and intervention scopes.
Negotiate high-value engineering and subsea contracts, including terms, risk allocation, and pricing strategy.
Provide market intelligence and commercial insight to inform business development priorities.
Operate within structured governance and approval frameworks with sound commercial judgement.
Key Attributes
Established, credible presence within the APAC subsea and offshore energy market.
Demonstrated ability to influence project scope and contracting strategy prior to RFQ release.
Strong commercial acumen with experience protecting margins and managing contractual risk.
Ability to access and engage senior commercial, technical, and project decision-makers.
Collaborative approach to working with engineering and operations teams on complex bids.
Mandatory Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in the offshore energy industry.
Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline, as recognised by Engineers Australia.
Direct experience in subsea engineering, subsea tooling, or subsea intervention services.
Demonstrated understanding of subsea project lifecycles including engineering, fabrication, testing, and offshore execution.
Proven sales and relationship network within the APAC subsea/offshore market with demonstrable relationships with operators and contractors.
Track record negotiating high-value engineering or subsea contracts with operators and Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors.
Experience supporting or leading tender responses for complex engineering or subsea scopes.
Experience across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
Background in subsea intervention, integrity management, or bespoke tooling development.
Engineering or technical qualification supporting client-side credibility.
