We are looking for a HSEQ Advisor to support our Victorian operations. The successful applicant will be pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental compliance across diverse industrial operations located in Laverton. The role aims to ensure the wellbeing of employees and works collaboratively with operations to review risk assessments, lead incident investigations and maintain information to support our regulatory compliance framework.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role requires a pragmatic individual with the ability to effectively manage time between projects and ongoing demands, a strong focus in employee engagement through focussed solutions and a keen eye for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the General Manager of People, Safety, Environment & Quality, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring risk assessments are completed and implemented for site operational activities.
* Management and update of the site's risk register and respective controls.
* Providing expert advice and implementation support for the Chain of Responsibility risk mitigation and reduction.
* Supporting the Managers, Supervisors, and employees in the implementation of the Group's HSEQ Management System and maintaining the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations.
* Leading and assist sites in the timely completion of incident investigations and corrective actions.
* Maintain the schedule and report on the states Audits, Inspections, and compliance assessments.
* Monitoring and co-ordinating the appropriate training and improvement programs.
* Injury, rehabilitation, and claims management.
* Leading cultural improvements by partnering and collaboratively engaging with Operational Leaders and personnel.
Qualifications and Education
You will have a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety as a minimum. A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be a plus.
Membership with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety is also desirable.
