This role plays a key part in developing and implementing a robust risk framework that supports sustainable growth and informed decision-making across our organisation.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for shaping and driving a proactive, positive risk culture across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning and enhancing our Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement to ensure they stay relevant, practical and embedded across the business.
* Serving as the go-to expert for strategic and emerging risk oversight, using tools like horizon scanning to stay ahead of the curve.
* Driving insightful, forward-looking risk reporting to senior executives and the board risk committee.
* Managing key regulatory responsibilities, including the Risk Management Declaration.
* Collaborating with teams across the business to build consistent risk capability, influence decision-making and champion the A&G risk mindset.
What You'll Bring
This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience in enterprise risk management. Key qualifications include:
* A sharp strategic mind with 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk management in financial services.
* A relevant tertiary qualification (risk, finance, law or similar).
* Confidence navigating APRA requirements, particularly CPS 220.
* Experience working in or alongside the insurance sector is highly regarded.
* Proven ability to build credibility and influence at the senior executive and board level.
* A knack for distilling complex risks into clear, actionable insights.
* Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented style.
