Job Summary
This role provides administrative support to the Director of Public Safety, handling tasks such as correspondence, mail, and files.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work with minimal supervision, and possess a high level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities include:
* Composing, transcribing, and typing correspondence and reports
* Maintaining departmental records and files
* Advising the Director on important information related to the department's responsibilities
* Providing reception support and ordering supplies for the department
* Creating display materials and posting information on the intranet
* Maintaining calendars and reserving meeting rooms
This is a dynamic role that requires strong organizational and planning skills, as well as proficiency in computer programs and applications (Microsoft Office preferred).
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and vendors, and possess a valid California driver's license and Black Oak Casino driver's permit.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Two years' clerical experience
* 50 wpm typing speed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good organizational and planning skills
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Requires a high level of confidentiality
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
This is a full-time role that may require working all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events. The ability to lift 20 lbs and occasional more with assistance is also required.
