About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to ensure the safety, appearance, and functionality of our buildings and grounds. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and take initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct general building, equipment, and grounds maintenance
* Plan, prioritise, and complete daily maintenance tasks
* Supervise contractors or provide guidance to others as required
* Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS standards, policies, and procedures
* Maintain accurate documentation using MS Office and industry‐related software
* Uphold organisational values through professional and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance, property, or groundskeeping
* Unrestricted Australian working rights
* Strong ability to prioritise workload and work independently
* Ability to supervise contractors and support others when required
* Knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) principles
* Practical building and grounds maintenance skills, with a proactive and reliable work ethic
* Computer literacy, including MS Office and industry‐related applications
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain
Desirable
* Trade qualifications in horticulture, building, electrical, plumbing, or related fields
* Experience working in the NDIS sector
* WHS‐related qualifications
