The Acquired Injury Support Services team within Anglicare Tasmania is looking for individuals with a genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities.
We are seeking like-minded individuals to join our exceptional support team who exemplify Anglicare Tasmania’s values of hope, compassion, justice, and respect.
Acquired Injury Support Worker
Anglicare’s Acquired Injury Support Workers provide direct care and support to clients to ensure that their individual needs are met. Using a person-centred approach, we assist and support clients to live a full life, helping them develop skills in line with their goals and support plans.
The tasks you may work on with our clients include:
* Personal care (showering, grooming, dressing)
* Medication administration
* Meal preparation
* Transport
* Purchases
* Social support
* Record keeping and reporting
To join our team, you must have:
* Australian Residency or valid Australian working rights
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or be working towards one
* Experience in the Disability Industry
* A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and a reliable, insured motor vehicle
* A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
* A National Police Check (Working with Vulnerable People)
IMPORTANT
* Successful applicants must undergo an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before starting.
* Upon commencement, successful applicants will be required to complete our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
