The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing construction activities for residential apartment projects developed by Developer Group in Australia. The role ensures projects are delivered with high quality, cost efficiency, safety compliance, and on-time completion, aligned with the company's reputation for stylish and value-driven developments.
Responsibilities 1. Construction & Site Management
* Supervise daily construction activities on residential apartment projects
* Ensure work is executed according to: Approved drawings, Specifications, Project schedules
* Monitor site progress and resolve on-site technical issues
2. Project Coordination
* Coordinate with: Contractors and subcontractors
* Architects, consultants, and engineers
* Project managers and internal stakeholders
Ensure smooth workflow across all project phases
3. Quality Control
* Ensure all works meet high-quality construction standards
* Conduct site inspections and identify defects
* Ensure compliance with: Australian Building Codes (NCC/BCA)
* Project specifications and finishes
4. Planning & Scheduling
* Track site progress against project timelines
* Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks
* Support timely completion within deadlines
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
* Enforce strict Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards
* Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks
* Ensure compliance with Australian construction regulations
6. Material & Resource Management
* Monitor material usage and availability on site
* Coordinate delivery and storage of materials
* Reduce waste and improve resource efficiency
7. Documentation & Reporting
* Prepare and maintain:
* Daily/weekly progress reports
* Site records and inspection logs
* Ensure proper documentation for approvals, audits, and handover
8. Handover & Completion
* Support project handover and defect rectification
* Ensure apartments meet design, quality, and client standards
* Coordinate final inspections and project close-out
Qualifications
* 2–5 years of experience in: Residential building construction (apartments preferred)
* Experience working with: Developers / builders, Multi-storey residential projects
* Bachelor's degree in: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture
* Strong site supervision and coordination skills
* Understanding of residential construction and finishes
* Knowledge of Australian building standards and regulations
* Good communication and stakeholder management
* Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments
