We are seeking a decisive, operationally minded
Aviation Emergency Response Officer
with ready to protect and enhance vital airport operations. Based in
Melbourne, Sydney OR Brisbane
, you will work closely with internal teams, airport authorities, and external stakeholders to ensure emergency preparedness, continuity planning, and operational excellence across Australia's major airports.

What you'll do?
* Review and analyse existing Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) in line with recent operational disruptions or weather events.
* Conduct port-specific risk assessments across major Australian ports, developing site-specific BCPs with clear operational constraints.
* Develop and maintain continuity plans for each port, including holding locations and alternative operational facilities.
* Test and simulate BCPs through realistic scenario exercises, evaluate performance, and provide actionable recommendations.
* Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including training materials, reports, and emergency response plans.
* Provide updates and recommendations to key business stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all government-mandated safety, security, and emergency regulations.
* Develop and deliver training programs aligned with business continuity and emergency response frameworks.
What you need?
* Proven experience in Business Continuity Planning, manage multi-site projects
* Background aviation or emergency services is highly preferred
* Technical skills in: Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment and Plan Development
* Bachelor's Degree in CBCP, MBCP or CBCI (highly desirable)
* Availability to travel interstate across 6-month contract
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
