Disability Support Worker
This role involves working directly with NDIS participants to provide personalised support that promotes dignity, independence, and community inclusion.
The ideal candidate will possess a caring and patient approach to support work, with strong verbal and written communication skills. They will be able to effectively communicate with participants, support coordinators, and other stakeholders.
* Deliver personal care including showering, dressing, and grooming in the participant's own home
* Support with domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, and shopping
* Assist with transport, mobility, and accessing appointments or community activities
* Follow the Chain of Command and implement individualised support plans
* Accurately complete shift documentation, progress notes, and incident reports in a timely manner
* Maintain strict professional boundaries and uphold participant confidentiality
Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care) or equivalent
* Previous experience in a similar support role is preferred
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate
* Wide and flexible availability across weekdays and weekends
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Reliable vehicle
* Current Drivers Licence
