HAYS has partnered with a rapidly growing business in the automotive industry who supplies parts, suspensions and lubricants for the Ipswich & Toowoomba region who are looking for a new Automotive Spray Painter to join their new location for an immediate start.
Your new role
As our clients' new Automotive Spray painter, your duties will include but not limited to:
* Assist in preparing vehicles and parts for painting (masking, sanding, priming etc.)
* Mix and apply paint, clear coats, respray and use spray guns and equipment
* Ensure high-quality applications and provide a thorough service
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of spray booths and work area
* Assist in basic panel repairs as required and work in a friendly team
* Maintain tools and equipment are in great working order.
* Work alongside a cooperative team and ensure work is of a high standard.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in an automotive spray painter role or similar
* Experience in panel work is highly desirable.
* Trade Qualified/Certification in Automotive Refinishing or Panel Beating
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
* Great knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry and spray-painting
* Own transport & Valid driver's licence
* You must be reliable and eager to learn and grow in a team environment.
* Required to bring your own mask and any other tools you may have - some provided on-site
