Overview
This role is part of the Enterprise Business Systems Group (EBSG).
The EBSG supports the Bureau's SAP Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) and provides support for communications channels with external Edge tools including the Concur Expense and Travel Management Solution, the Effort Capture Solution, the Bureau's Organisational Charting Tool, the BoMCareers Recruitment system, and the UKG (Kronos) Enterprise Rostering Solution.
The EBS Support Officer will support the Bureau's SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance modules through technical administration, stakeholder collaboration, end-user support, and issue resolution, working closely with Enterprise Services to ensure the SAP ERP solution remains stable and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Support minor works and project activities in EBSG.
Investigate and resolve system issues related to the Bureau's SAP HCM and Finance modules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Maintain project and system documentation, focusing on updates for new developments or changes.
Collaborate with the Finance Program to ensure the SAP system provides accurate and reliable data for the Bureau's financial and reporting obligations.
Work with the Organisational Development Program to ensure the Bureau's Conditions of Service are accurately reflected and maintained within the SAP HCM module.
Provide end-user support across the Bureau of Meteorology, including training and the development of work instructions.
Understand and apply the principles and practices of the Bureau's Social Justice Strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate must have a good understanding of APS conditions of service, experience in the operation of HCM and Finance systems in an APS environment, an able communicator, a fast learner, and be efficient in resolving significant issues.
Eligibility
A degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, appropriate to the duties; or other comparable qualifications.
Experience and sound knowledge in SAP.
The candidate must state their agreement to have or obtain a Baseline security clearance at Bureau expense.
