Morgans is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Brisbane team, providing trusted legal advice to the Board, executives and senior management across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.
What you will be doing
* Advise on legal, regulatory and commercial matters, including financial services regulation and ASIC/ASX obligations
* Manage complaints, claims and disputes, liaising with advisers, clients, insurers and external lawyers
* Draft, review and advise on contracts and commercial arrangements
* Provide guidance on privacy obligations and company policy development
* Support the Company Secretary with governance documentation and Board papers
What you will bring
* Admission as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction
* Experience in private practice and/or an in‐house legal role, ideally in financial service
* Strong knowledge of financial services regulation and key legislative frameworks including ASIC and AS
* Experience with complaints handling and external dispute resolution
* Clear, practical drafting and communication skills for senior stakeholders
