About the role
As a Sports Engagement Programs Advisor, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing and evolving the TAC's new Sport Engagement Program. You'll work across various sporting codes, at both elite and grassroots levels. You will deliver targeted programs and activations that influence positive road safety behaviours and foster a culture of leadership within sporting communities. From planning and negotiation to evaluation and reporting, you'll ensure every initiative aligns with TAC's road safety and engagement objectives.
About the Team
This role sits within the Marketing, Sponsorships & Engagement branch of the Community Division. The Community Division is committed to engaging, educating and influencing the Victorian community, stakeholders and our people to ensure the TAC fosters a safety-first road culture and supports delivery of the best outcomes for our clients.
You'll be part of a newly established Sport Engagement Programs team, working closely with Sponsorships and Engagement colleagues and other internal teams. The branch is dynamic, fun and hard-working, and pride themselves on being supportive and helpful. The team encourages you to bring your whole self to work and contribute to shaping the team's program of work and culture from day one.
What we're looking for
Marketing and Engagement Experience
Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, campaign delivery or project management. Experience in sponsorship activation or sport account management will be highly regarded.
Business Acumen & Negotiation Skills
Proven ability to craft and negotiate sponsorship agreements with sporting organisations, agencies and internal stakeholders that drive return on investment and achieve project goals with precision.
Strategic Relationship Builder
Proven ability to develop strong partnerships across sporting organizations, agencies, and internal teams. Skilled in planning and negotiation, with a track record of managing complex projects and competing priorities while maintaining positive relationships and delivering measurable outcomes.
