Brief Description
At SCC, we recognise the importance of spiritual and emotional support in helping older people live life to the fullest. Our Spiritual Care Coordinator plays a vital role in offering compassionate, person‑centred care. You'll be part of creating a truly holistic care experience, supporting individuals to connect with meaning, purpose, and community.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing tailored emotional and spiritual support
* Supporting individuals through grief, illness, and end‑of‑life experiences
* Helping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfort
* Planning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groups
* Sharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentation
* Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing
Schedule
16hrs / fortnight, any day Monday to Friday. 9am - 5pm
Requirements
* Minimum 1 Unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) or equivalent
* Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care
* Understanding of person‑centred care principles
* Compassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting volunteers in a care setting (Desirable)
* Qualification in training and education (Desirable)
