About the Role
The Forward Deployed Engineer is a client-facing, hands-on engineering role that bridges the gap between technical consulting, solution delivery, and engineering execution.
You will collaborate closely with customers to understand their technical and operational environments, and deliver high-impact AI and software solutions directly within their business landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Solution Implementation:Collaborate with clients from project initiation, conducting deep technical discovery to fully understand their business objectives, processes, and technology landscape.
Design, build, and deploy AI-powered and software solutions directly within client environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and workflow optimization, translating them into robust technical implementations.
Develop technical documentation, functional requirements, and solution architectures tailored to client needs.
Pre-Sales & Technical Advisory:Support the business development team with technical expertise during client meetings, proposals, and workshops.
Assist in developing solution briefs, estimates, and statements of work by validating technical feasibility and delivery timelines.
Deliver compelling technical demos and presentations to prospective and existing clients.
Project Delivery & Internal Collaboration:Work closely with HeitechSoft's engineering, business development, and leadership teams to shape solution strategy and ensure seamless project handoffs.
Contribute to the evolution of internal engineering frameworks, best practices, and consultative methodologies.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging AI technologies, and competitive solutions to provide thought leadership both internally and to clients.
Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in a technical, solutions engineering, or consulting role directly engaging with clients.
Strong foundational knowledge of software development processes (SDLC), APIs, databases, cloud computing, systems integration, and modern architectures.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, machine learning, and deploying these technologies to solve real-world business challenges.
Ability to quickly understand complex business workflows and identify pain points to propose and implement technical solutions that drive digital transformation.
Excellent analytical skills, capable of dissecting complex technical problems and delivering actionable engineering solutions.
Experience supporting solution design, technical scoping, and pre-sales activities, including technical demos, estimates, and statements of work.
Proficiency in developing technical documentation and solution architecture.
