An Oracle Data Centre & Field Support Engineer acts as the technical liaison between technology teams, the Data Centre environment, and on-prem customer operations. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across both environments, provide on-site technical support, and maintain high standards of service delivery and process compliance.
As a skilled troubleshooter across a wide range of systems, you'll know when to escalate, when to innovate, and how to simplify. You'll execute projects independently, collaborate on larger initiatives, and continuously improve processes with automation and efficiency in mind.
Ideal candidates need to be familiar with the following:
• Strong background in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, containment).
• Experience providing on-prem field support, including installations, break/fix, and upgrades.
• Responsible for a shift in a 24/7/365 working environment, including rostered on-call support.
• Solid understanding of the Data Centre ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
• Proficiency in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and OS installations.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills, with strong adherence to process and documentation.
If this is the challenge you are looking for and you meet the above requirements, we want to talk to you.
