Your new role
As a Maintenance Officer, you'll oversee the upkeep and improvement of community facilities and Council-owned assets. While you'll have the technical expertise to understand building and maintenance requirements, much of your role will focus on planning, scheduling, and coordinating contractors to ensure works are completed to a professional standard. You'll conduct property inspections, prepare maintenance programs, and provide guidance to staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification or significant experience in building maintenance or a related field
* Strong knowledge of the Building Code of Australia, WHS legislation, and safe work practices
* Proven ability to manage contractors and monitor maintenance programs effectively
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Current driving licence and White Card accreditation
