Position Type: Permanent Full Time position available (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)
Salary Range: LGO 4 ($83,384 - $89,379 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience
About the Role
* Conduct investigations, inspections, and approvals under state and local laws.
* Work across a broad range of areas including:
o Animal management, including handling animals and promoting responsible pet ownership
o Public health and safety
o Overgrown properties
o Unauthorised use of Council land and footpath obstructions
o Other Local Law matters
* Collaborate with a team supporting Council's purpose of Growing Townsville, delivering outcomes aligned with the Corporate Plan and community expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Valid Queensland "C" Class driver's licence – Essential
* Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field – Obtainable
* Authorized Persons Card – Obtainable through Council employment
* White Card – Obtainable through Council employment
* First Aid Certificate – Obtainable through Council employment
